This is a 4 hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only and meets all Massachusetts requirements to apply for a firearms license. It is a non-shooting course that teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. 

You will learn:
Basic rules for safe gun handling
Primary causes of firearms accidents
Common firearm types and operation
How to safely load, unload, care for and store firearms in the home
Basic overview of Massachusetts state firearms laws

Students will receive course completion certificate required to apply for a Massachusetts firearms license.

Sabre Personal Defense/PepperSpray: Length 3 hours - Cost: $65

This Course Integrates Awareness, strategies for avoiding dangerous encounters, and if necessary, tactics for dealing with them.

This program is based on many of the same training principles used in Sabre's time and field tested pepper spray course for law enforcement officers. The classroom and hands on training are conducted in a non threatening atmosphere by professional instructors.

Methods of checking for threats, moving to safety, reasonable use of force for self-defense, and proper physical techniques are all covered.

Private Personalized Instruction: Length: 3 hours - Cost: $75

So you have a permit, purchased your own firearm and maybe took it to the range a few times. Now what? Let us help you develop the skills you need to be confident and comfortable with your firearm. This is an active, outdoor shooting class, not only will you learn the basics of marksmanship but also advanced skills such as rapid fire, reloads and much more. 

You will need: 
A suitable handgun
A belt holster that will safely hold your handgun
300 rounds of ammunition for your handgun
Hearing and Eye Protection
Comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather.

NRA Personal Protection In The Home: Length: 8 hours - Cost: $200

Are you worried about how you protect yourself and your family in your home? You have a firearm, but are you unsure how to use it to protect your family?

Personal Defense Inside The Home is the solution. This is an eight-hour course consisting of both classroom and live fire range time. 

You will learn:                                                                                                                                  Basic defensive shooting skills                                                                                                  Strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation. 
Basics of Massachusetts firearms & self defense laws.

All equipment, firearms, and safety gear will be provided. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection in the Home handbook, and course completion certificate. You will need comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather. Parts of the class will be held outside, rain or shine.
